Axed Thomas Cook staff are invited for a free night out at a nightclub in Glasgow this week.
The travel operator went bust in the early hours of Monday morning after it was unable to secure its last-ditch rescue deal – with 9000 employees facing redundancy with no pay.
As many businesses across the UK rally round to help workers, The Shed in Shawlands wants to do their bit by inviting them for a "heavy sesh" on the house at the launch of their new night Shedfaced.
Those eligible will just need to bring an ID, payslip or work pass along on the night and they'll get free entry, queue skip, cloakroom and four complimentary drinks.
The Shed announced the deal, saying: "This Friday we're launching our newest club night SHEDFACED which is all about having fun, and we know a few people who need a bit of fun right now are Thomas Cook staff, so we've decided to give them a heavy sesh on us."
Paul Smyth, General Manager added: "This offer has gone out on our Facebook page this morning and we hope the Thomas Cook staff take us up on it. We can only imagine how bad the news was to take, and I'm sure its been a bad week for everyone involved. It really is the least we can do and we just hope we can take their mind off it for a couple of hours this Friday night."
