Thom Yorke’s Radiohead Hamlet show to open at London’s Barbican theatre

  • The production Hamlet Hail to the Thief , which merges Shakespeare’s iconic tragedy with Radiohead ’s sixth album, is set to open at the Barbican Theatre in London.
  • Co-created by Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke and directors Christine Jones and Steven Hoggett, the show reimagines Elsinore as a surveillance state.
  • The production also explores Hamlet and Ophelia’s awakening to lies and corruption through ghosts and music.
  • Mickey 17’ s Samuel Blenkin will reprise the role as Hamlet, alongside Ami Tredrea as Ophelia and Paul Hilton as Claudius and the Ghost.
  • Hamlet Hail to the Thief will run from 31 October 2026 until 23 January 2027 at the Barbican Theatre, with tickets available to the public from 10am on Friday 26 June.
