This woman was found in the street with a head injury at 2.40am - do you know who she is?

An elderly woman was found collapsed in the street with a head injury in the early hours of the morning - and police need help to identify her.

She was found in Samuel Brunts Way, Mansfield, in the early hours of Thursday, April 11.

The woman, believed to be aged in her 70s or 80s, was found at around 2.40am. She is currently in hospital being treated.

A Nottinghamshire Police spokesman said: "While we appreciate the image may be upsetting we’re urgently trying to identify her and trace any family members.

"Our enquiries are ongoing as to how she suffered her injuries.

"Anyone who recognises the woman is asked to contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 48 of 11 April 2019."
