On April 6, the Wizards were 17-32. They looked like they were lottery bound for most of the season.
And they weren’t just bad — they were really bad. They were hovering between the 4th and 7th pick from December to March. But then something just…clicked.
Since April 6, the Wizards have gone 17-6 to get to 34-38. They got healthy. Bradley Beal was a bucket. Russell Westbrook went on a triple-double tear. And now they find themselves in the playoffs. It’s absolutely unreal.
They are not supposed to be here — that’s for sure. And this absolutely unreal stat from ESPN shows us just how impossible their run to the playoffs was.
They had a 0.6% chance of making the playoffs on April 6.
