The Ulster Club series begins in earnest this weekend with 13 fixtures across three grades in hurling and football.
The standout fixture is Saturday night’s Ulster Club Senior Football Championship preliminary round tie between Crossmaglen and Ballybay at the Athletic Grounds.
The South Armagh club lost the last two Armagh SFC finals before powering past first-time finalists Granemore in last month’s county final.

They’ll return to the Athletic Grounds as warm favourites to overcome Monaghan champions Ballybay and set up a blockbuster clash with current club kingpins Kilcoo next weekend.
The Intermediate clash between Shane O’Neill’s (Armagh) and Corduff (Monaghan) will act as a curtain-raiser for the senior tie in Armagh with the senior game being shown live on RTÉ2.
The Camlough outfit claimed a last-gasp victory over St Paul’s in the Armagh Intermediate final and face Seamus McEnaney’s side on Saturday for the right to face Down champions Saval in the quarter-finals.
The quarter-finals of the Junior Football Championship as well as the quarter-finals of the Junior and Intermediate Hurling grades will also take place this weekend.
