This weekend’s GAA fixtures as Antrim host Fermanagh in key Division Three clash

At the midway stage of the Allianz Football Leagues, the contenders for promotion and relegation will become much clearer after this weekend’s games.

Three Ulster teams are at the wrong end of the Division One table while Armagh are just one point ahead of Tyrone, Donegal and Monaghan heading into round four.

Monaghan clinched a vital win over Donegal last weekend while Armagh and Tyrone lost out to Roscommon and Galway respectively.

Derry are top of the Division Two standings and they’ll end Kildare’s promotion hopes with a win in Newbridge while Cavan can move a step closer to promotion from Division Three with a win in Offaly.

Saturday’s game at Corrigan Park will also give an indication as to whether or not Antrim and Fermanagh can challenge for promotion or if they’ll be fighting for Division Three survival in the coming weeks.

Down, meanwhile, will look to get their campaign back on track after last Sunday’s loss to Fermanagh when they host Tailteann Cup winners Westmeath in Newry on Saturday night.

Antrim hurlers will hope to put a frustrating start to 2023 behind them when they take on Waterford in Dungarvan on Sunday while Down are also on the road as they face Carlow in Division 2A.
