This weekend’s GAA Championship fixtures

The 2022 Championship season comes into the business end of things this weekend as several Ulster counties face pivotal games across the country.

Derry and Monaghan go head-to-head in the Athletic Grounds on Sunday to see who will join Donegal in the Ulster Senior Football Championship final later this month.

Derry’s hurlers also face a huge game as they bid to reach the Christy Ring Cup final at Mayo’s expense. The counties meet in what is effectively an All-Ireland semi-final at Castlebar with Kildare already through to the final.

It is a similar scenario for Tyrone and Donegal who meet in the Nickey Rackard Cup to see who will face Roscommon in Croke Park next weekend.

It is a big weekend for the Red Hands as their U20 footballers also take on Kildare in Saturday’s All-Ireland final at Carrick-on-Shannon. That game will be broadcast live on TG4 while there are a host of other live games across the weekend.

The Leinster Hurling Championship clash between Dublin and Kilkenny will be shown live on Sky Sports Arena on Saturday evening while Sunday’s Munster Hurling Championship games between Waterford and Cork as well as Clare versus Limerick will be broadcast live on RTE.
