This week's Saturday Night Takeaway to be very different due to coronavirus

Ant and Dec have revealed just how different this weekend's Saturday Night Takeaway will be after coronavirus has forced a number of major changes to the show.

The show has still aired over the past few weeks but, as coronavirus continues to spread across the UK, the pandemic has prompted ITV to drastically scale down production on the hit programme.

At the end of last Saturday's episode, which saw Takeaway broadcast live without an audience for the first time in its history, Ant and Dec revealed that the forthcoming episode on March 28 wouldn't be live and, speaking in a short advert for the show, the duo hinted that it will be very different to what we're used to.

As well as it being completely recorded, the bulk of this weekend's Takeaway will act as a 'best of' of Takeaway, with a throwback to the amazing Undercover prank starring Gordon Ramsey, some of Ant and Dec's favourite I'm A Celebrity Get Out of Me Ear sketches and memorable End of the Show Show performances from the archives (please let Let's Get Ready to Rhumble be in there!)

It will also feature the final instalment of Saturday Night Takeaway's own mini-series Men in Brown, where we'll finally find out who the evil dark force is.

One thing that won't change is the time Saturday Night Takeaway is on TV. It will air in its traditional 7pm slot, although it will be shorter than normal, lasting 1 hour instead of the usual 90 minutes and be followed by Stephen Mulhern's In For A Penny.
