Gamers still desperate to finally land a PlayStation 5 are being recommended to keep their eyes out for new supplies over the coming days.
After another series of drops were bought up within minutes last week, Twitter account PS5StockAlertUK - which has been regularly updating fans with predictions on when more consoles will be available - has updated fans with predictions that Curry's, GAME, Amazon and Argos will release pre-orders this week.
After initially telling fans a restock at GAME was expected on Tuesday, they have since updated their prediction to say it will be on Wednesday.
PS5StockAlertUK tweeted on Friday to say: "Amazon have received shipments of the PS5 this week. This adds onto the list of big retailers who currently have stock which are Amazon, Argos, Curry’s and GAME. All will drop next week. More details will be tweeted as I find out over the weekend."'
They have also told fans that GAME and Argos will only be stocking the Disc Edition.
Some people have been expecting Curry's to drop its new stock on Monday morning, but so far that has not yet materialised.
Fans have been bookmarking and refreshing the retailer's website after various PS5 stock trackers on Twitter suggested new supplies would drop as early as 6am today, with some reporting their stock notification apps had been updated to suggest a drop at Curry's was imminent.
On Thursday PS5StockAlertUK also said they expected the likes of Amazon and Very to restock in the first week of March.
"I believe GAME will keep cancelled orders for their drop in March. Argos and Curry’s are also building stock so expect big drops from these three in the next week or so. Our usuals, Amazon and Very would be restocking next week onward too." they tweeted.
Last week PlayStation's CEO Jim Ryan warned that PS5 shortages could continue throughout 2021, but things should improve as the year goes on.
"It will get better every month throughout 2021," he told the FT.
"The pace of the improvement in the supply chain will gather throughout the course of the year, so by the time we get to the second half of [2021], you’re going to be seeing really decent numbers indeed."
