This week's Late Late Show line-up confirmed after RTE's Ryan Tubridy makes promise to critics

Ryan Tubridy has secured a star studded line up to appear on this week's Late Late Show.

And the RTE host has vowed that fans are in for a 'fun' week of guests following criticism of last weeks show.

Many viewers felt there was too much doom and gloom and far too much focus on Covid as people wanted to get a bit of escapism from the pandemic.

But it looks like Tubs is set to deliver on his promise as he welcomes ones of the biggest rock stars on earth, RTE home school hub's latest addition and one of Ireland's most beloved pop stars.

The rock star is none other than Dave Grohl, drummer from Nirvana and frontman of Foo Fighters who joins Ryan to discuss everything from his memories of Nirvana's 1991 gig in Cork, and his high points from headlining Slane Castle in 2015.

Next up will be PE teacher Emer O'Neill will discuss her role as the newest Múinteoir on RTEs Home School Hub, her plans for keeping kids moving, the importance of diversity on Irish television screens, and her battle to overcome racial abuse.

Former Boyzone star Ronan Keating will discuss the challenges and rewards of making music over the past year, and welcoming a new addition to his family.

The show bosses have also teased a special number after members of the Gardai take social media by storm with the Jerusalema dance challenge, that viewers won't want to miss.

Ryan will also speak to Lynsey Bennett, the 32-year-old mother-of-two from Longford, who this week settled her CervicalCheck High Court action.

There'll also be music from The Riptide Movement.

The Late Late Show airs on Friday, February 5th on RTE One at 9.35pm.
