'This was a 0-0 game' - Brentford boss adamant Nottingham Forest should not have won

Brentford manager Thomas Frank says there was no way his team should have lost to Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Forest were 1-0 winners at the City Ground thanks to Ben Watson's second half goal, which took the Reds up to second in the Championship.

Chances were limited with Forest having four shots on target to Brentford's three and Frank felt it really should have been a stalemate.

"On a day when it's the third game in seven days against a fine team with confidence, you have to play out a 0-0," he said.

"This was a 0-0 game. There were no chances at both ends. We had small minor details that gave them a goal with three or four deflections.

"At the other end our delivery was not good enough."

Brentford are 17th in the table with three wins in 11 games, but Frank feels his team are improved from last season, when they finished 11th.

"I see performances that are very solid. This a team that is so much more solid and structured," he said.

"They go away from home and want to dominate from the first minute.

"We've lost three games 1-0 away from home. We need to turn those into draws or wins."
