The 2019 NBA draft lottery will be a night many never forget, as the teams with the best chances for the No. 1 pick came up empty and the New Orleans Pelicans came up huge.
Yup, the team with the seventh-best odds to get the top pick now just has to wait until draft night next month to make Duke’s Zion Williamson a member of their team.
Which is huge, of course. And devastating for the Knicks and their fans.
The Pelicans’ ticket office got together to watch the lottery on TV and they all went absolutely nuts when they got the No. 1 pick:
