This video of Clayton Kershaw trying to hold six baseballs at once is oddly mesmerizing

Baseball is a very serious game, played by very serious people, where a lot is on the line every day of the very long season.

OK, maybe not all of that is true. There’s a lot of down time during the 162 games that they play each season and players need to find creative ways to kill some time while still keeping an eye on the game.

That’s especially true for starting pitchers who, of course, only play once every five days.

Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw wasn’t pitching yesterday so he decided to entertain himself by trying (and succeeding) to hold six baseballs in one hand.

This video, and the play-by-play, is a pretty weird and fun way to start your Monday:

I need to go find six baseballs and try this myself.

A Red Sox fan caught a bat like it was nothing and didn’t get off the phone while doing it
