This unloved £1.7 million mansion hasn't found a buyer in six years

A home on one of Merseyside's most desirable streets might be among the most 'unloved' properties on the market - after being up for sale for more than six years.

The five-bedroom house has been on the market since February 2013 but still hasn't found a buyer, making it one of the longest-running listings in the region.

Located on Shireburn Road in Freshfield, the luxury detached home is nestled in one of Merseyside's most sought-after areas.

Immaculately presented, perfectly located and boasting some stunning gardens, there doesn't seem to be any reason the property just can't seem to sell.

With an asking price of £1,700,000, the property is well above the average house price on Merseyside - but it's not an extraordinary price tag in such an exclusive area.

According to property website Zoopla's price index, the average current value of a home on Shireburn Road is hovering around the £1.7 million mark - suggesting this listing is perfectly priced.

On the market with Colette Gunter, photos taken inside the home show no reason for it not to find a buyer - with five en-suite bathrooms and three entertaining rooms.

The three bedroom house has been on the market since April 2010 but still hasn't found a buyer, making it one of the most unloved listings in Britain.

Located on Oakfield in Anfield, the property is  is on the market with Priory Property Services for £134,950.

Online estate agents Housesimple looked at the properties that haven't sold after years on the market - and the Anfield home came top of the list.
