Harry Potter author JK Rowling released a new children's fantasy book 'The Christmas Pig' this year. And now with Christmas just around the corner, Rowling took to Twitter where she revealed the inspiration behind writing her new book.
Rowling shared the picture of a toy pig and wrote, "Totally forgot I had this photo! For those who've read #TheChristmasPig, this is the pig who inspired DP."
'The Christmas Pig' is a heart-warming story about a young boy named Jack and his favourite toy Dur Pig (DP), whom he loses. Together with Dur Pig's replacement toy, the Christmas Pig, Jack ventures on a magical journey to the Land of the Lost.
Rowling further revealed that DP "really did get hidden and lost all the time, which is why I bought a secret replacement and hid it. David found the 2nd pig in its hiding place and kept it, which got me thinking about what it means to be a replacement and that turned into the book!"
Meanwhile, in an earlier tweet the bestselling international author shared that she has finished writing her next book which will be released in 2022. While she didn't mention the name of her next book, she did give a hint about it to her fans. Here have a look at her tweet:
