This stat on Brooks Koepka’s incredible year shows how dominant Tiger Woods was

Brooks Koepka’s incredible run continued Sunday when he rolled to a win at the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational.

Koepka joined an elite group last week when he became just the fourth player in modern golf history to finish fourth or better in all four majors in a year. He also won the PGA Championship this year at Bethpage Black.

Now the No. 1 player in the world has a WGC title under his belt and seems primed to be the favorite to be the FedEx Cup champion when the playoffs start in August.

But what’s incredible about his year is this stat about Tiger Woods and his dominance, especially in the 2000s:

9 TIMES!

That is just ridiculous.

Koepka, who’s only 29 years old, seems primed to do this more often, as he plays his best at the tournaments that mean the most.

Winning 9 more majors, however, would be quite an accomplishment because those things are becoming even harder to win.

But Koepka seems more than up for the challenge.
