‘This sounds like a doctor visit report’: Southwest Airlines passenger catches seatmate writing journal entry. Then she sees what he says about her

A Southwest Airlines passenger was left stunned after discovering what her seatmate wrote about her in his journal. In the TikTok, which has amassed 1.8 million views, the Nashville-based user (@kenzshann) shared a slideshow.

The first slide showed the view from a window seat, and was accompanied by the following text: “Sometimes you gotta read the journal entry the old man makes about you on the plane and go about your day.”

The next slide revealed the journal in question on what appears to be a tablet. It started normally enough, with the man describing what food and drink he bought and a “nice little chat” he had on the phone, but things soon became unhinged.

“I was first on the airplane and got another aisle seat in the third row,” he wrote. “It was a full plane. A slightly overweight, but nice, young woman sat next to me.”

Naturally, @kenzshann was shocked by this journal entry, noting in the video description that she “honestly needed the motivation.”

“I wish this was fake,” she added. “I hadn’t had lunch or dinner.” She said she “practically still had the morning skinny.”

Commenters gave their view

In the comments, users were also shocked about what transpired. One tried to show @kenzshannthe funny side, writing, “Hey, only slightly.” Another joked that “‘slightly old man” would have been kinder than ‘old man.'”

“Call it out, sorry,” a third recommended. “Call it out.”

A fourth remarked that “old people will absolutely humble you for no reason,” while a fifth admitted, “I hate this obsession with weight/looks etc. from older generations — as if nothing else counts?”

Meanwhile, a sixth shared how they would deal with the situation. “The way I would have looked him in his eyes while I typed out my own journal entry about him writing a journal entry about me,” they wrote.

Several other commenters also remarked that the tone of the journal entry sounded similar to a “doctor visit report.”

The TikToker didn’t immediately respond to The Mary Sue’s request for comment via TikTok comment.

More Southwest seatmate issues

Earlier this year, another Southwest Airlines passenger also had issues with their seatmate. In a viral TikTok, Megriella Moose (@megriellamoose) shared how her fellow passenger made her uncomfortable.

He kept talking to her despite her signals, tried to pressure her into ordering alcoholic beverages, manspreaded, and at one point, even put his hand on her thigh.

Eventually, her mother traded seats with her, and in a brief conversation, the man told her that Moose “might have [him] arrested” for his harassing behavior.
