Real bride Sumeet Nijjar opted for a scarlet red lehenga for her Anand Karaj ceremony. The set desgined by Rimple and Harpreet was crafted with kasab-dori marodi ka kaam, aari ka kaam and resham zardozi interspersed with sequins, pearls and crystals. The motifs were derived from vintage Persian carpets and Mughal architecture details. The look was completed with sheer tulle dupattas.

Her fiance Kevan Nijjer chose a pale gold silk sherwani by the same designer duo for the wedding. The jacket features tonal embroidery motifs derived from a vintage textile, rendered on the silk base with resham aari and marodi ka kaam, dabka, sequins and pearls. It was layered with a silk stole featuring marodi ka kaam borders. The look was completed with a khadi kurta-churidar and a pair of handcrafted mojris.
