A "RUSTIC" 18th-century Scottish pub in a "spectacular" setting has been named one of the UK's best for a pint by the sea.
The Stein Inn on the Isle of Skye was named alongside other coastal watering holes up and down the country, including The Ship in Yorkshire and The Pandora Inn, situated in Falmouth, Cornwall.
Why the Stein Inn on the Isle of Skye is one of the UK's best pubs for enjoying a pint by the sea
Standing on the shores of Lochbay since 1790, the Stein Inn has apparently "welcomed generations of bleary-eyed travellers".
Discussing what makes the Scottish pub so great, Big 7 Travel said it has "become synonymous with the Isle of Skye, as much a must-visit as the Storr itself."
However, this popularity "hasn’t dulled its charm", with its well-known motto reading: "No road is too long for good company”.
The travel website added: "The food is just as memorable, with langoustines, mussels, and crabs, caught in Lochbay and delivered daily."
The pub, which is said to be the oldest Inn on the Isle of Skye, has received much praise from locals and visitors alike on Tripadvisor.
One person said: "Dined at the Stein Inn a few times during our stay on Skye. The food is very good, the place is buzzy, and the decorations quirky. Staff are friendly. Highly recommended."
Another said: "We stopped at the Stein Inn for lunch and enjoyed an amazing meal! Everyone’s dish was delicious, but the standout was the scallops - just out of this world!
