This Scots 'lego' house is breaking the mould with mix of old and new design features

We all know it can be tricky finding the perfect property that ticks all the right boxes, but this is one which mixes old and new with stunning results.

Built in 1970, but totally refurbished and extended last year, this Bridge of Allan home will captivate most house hunters.

The property fits together the main house and car port like a lego puzzle, but this is no cookie-cutter run-of-the-mill house.

Despite its location within the Stirling town, the contemporary five-bedroom property is perched on a hill and accessed via a private drive with traditional stone gateposts.

The living space is huge with floor to ceiling windows and doors which let in bags of natural light.

On arrival at the house the bold car port is encased in stained redwood which leads to a large decked terrace for the upper level. This contrasts with the main building with all the period brick work painted black.

As well as the decked area, which will be perfect for entertaining guests, there is also a sun terrace for the warmer months (when we get some sunshine) which adds even more space to the 300 sq m home. And to top it off the terrace has views across the treetops to Stirling Castle and the hill beyond.

Off the main sitting room is the kitchen, with a family room, cloakroom and WC making up the rest of the upper floor.

On the ground floor is the four bedrooms and master suite, with a family bathroom, boot room, utility space and a plant room - there's honestly so much space for all the family.

All of this doesn't come cheap as it is on the market for offer over £630,000.
