This Raptors’ highlight is one reason they’re winning without Kawhi Leonard

The Toronto Raptors are sitting at second in the Eastern Conference behind the Milwaukee Bucks while Kawhi Leonard and the Los Angeles Clippers are sitting at second in the Western Conference behind the L.A. Lakers.

Few thought that Toronto could excel without Leonard. And yet to this point in the season, the Raptors have won 47 games, two more than Kawhi’s Clippers. It’s fair to wonder: How is Toronto doing this? Well, the team put together a beautiful highlight during their 107-92 win over the Lakers on Saturday night. They passed the ball 10 times on one of their possessions, which ended with an open 3-pointer from Ogugua Anunoby.

The Raptors are winning with their specular team play. It’s over-simplistic to boil down a season worth of work into one highlight. But this display of ball movement is an excellent example of how well they’re playing as a unit.
