"Jewel tones are great for autumn/winter style as they are rich, luxurious and add warmth to any living space.
"Typically jewel tones have been used as highlights, however this year we’re seeing people be much bolder and more confident with their usage of dramatic colours as the main features of a room.”
A spokesperson from Homesense suggests starting your jewel-toned adventure with smaller touches.
"Soft furnishings are a great place to start, from throws to rugs and cushions, it’s a good idea to add a selection of contrasting textures to really bring the trend to life or if you prefer to keep it simple, opt for smaller decorative accessories like a vase or picture frame."
