This Plate Day best dressed poll lets you pick a winner from our top 10 hats at Newcastle Racecourse

So the final horse has passed the post at  Newcastle Racecourse  for  Plate Day , but while all the winners in the racing have been decided, our eyes are firmly on the fashion.

As expected, Geordie lads and lasses dressed to the nines as the sun made an appearance for the biggest day in the North East racing calendar, with many making quite an impact with their headgear.
