This piece of Everton transfer news could be good news for Bristol City and Nottingham Forest

A piece of Everton transfer news could be good for Bristol City.

Bleacher Report claim that Cenk Tosun is concerned over his future at the Toffees, having suffered from a lack of first-team football at Goodison Park.

The striker is said to not be confident that his situation will change under new Toffees boss Carlo Ancelotti, and Everton are open to the prospect of letting him leave in January.

Tosun is reportedly keen to stay in the Premier League, and Crystal Palace are said to be monitoring his situation.

It could prove to be good news for Bristol City and Nottingham Forest, both of whom have been linked with Palace striker Connor Wickham.

Palace have been linked to a number of strikers ahead of January and Tosun's availability could see them move a step forward to bringing another attacker to Selhurst Park.

That would see Wickham, who has struggled with injuries since joining the Eagles in 2015, drop further down the pecking order.

Wickham has made just four appearances for Palace this season and the chances of him leaving the club would no doubt be increased should a new striker move to Selhurst Park.

Whilst signing him may prove a gamble due to his injury record, the Robins are on the lookout for two strikers this January, and a move for Wickham, who could be available cheaply if he is no longer wanted at Palace, could prove a gamble worth taking thanks to his ability when fit.
