This picture of a puppy rescued from raided Welsh farm will make your day

An adorable picture posted of a four-week-old rescued from a puppy farm is guaranteed to make you smile.

Hope Rescue in Pontyclun posted the image on their Facebook page and it was immediately very popular with all their followers.

The puppy, called Custard, is one of more than 200 dogs who were rescued from the farm in Carmarthenshire a couple of weeks ago.

Custard is a crossbreed with a Bichon Frise mum called Crumble, who was also taken in by Hope Rescue.

The staff at the centre are unsure what the pup has been crossbred with yet as he is still so small, but believe it could be a poodle.

The picture posted shows him wrapped in a blue fluffy towel and perfectly groomed fur, showing how well he is being cared for now.

Not quite ready for rehoming, he already has a number of fans who will be keeping an eye on his progress.

Sara Rosser, head of welfare and adoption at Hope Rescue, told TeamDogs : “He is gorgeous isn't he.

“He is four weeks old at the moment and although not formally reserved as we tend not to reserve pups until they are around six weeks old and we know a bit more about their individual needs, he has had lots of interest so far.

"He is still very little but is starting to explore things away from Mum and is loving starting on solid food."

Custard also has a sibling called Rhubarb.

An earlier Facebook post on Hope Rescue’s page reads, “One of our new puppy farm mum's, Crumble, is doing such a brilliant job with her babies Rhubarb and Custard, who are just three weeks old.

“She is such a good mum, feeding and giving her pups love despite being in pain, as one of her teats had to be removed as matted hair had become wrapped around it and embedded itself.

“As with the others, this most certainly isn’t Crumbles first litter but with our support it will be her last.

“We are really looking forward to seeing these three get the love and care that they so deserve.”
