Just before New England Patriots receiver Josh Gordon took the field at Gillette Stadium, he stood underneath a beam of light in the team’s tunnel. It was photo perfect.
The receiver had been serving another stint of his indefinite suspension, which the NFL reinstated in Dec. 2018. But the league allowed him to return to the Patriots earlier in August. He took the field for his first preseason action in 2019 in Week 4 against the New York Giants, and finished the game with two receptions on six targets for 30 yards.
