Chelsea fans are upset to see arguably their best player from this pre-season, Hakim Ziyech, forced off in the first half of the Super Cup against Villarreal.
Ziyech, 28, had enjoyed a productive pre-season which saw it capped off tonight with the opening goal to break the deadlock in Belfast.
Kai Havertz's cross in the 27th minute from the left-hand side was met in the middle of the penalty area by the Moroccan, who fired his effort into the net to give the Blues the lead on the night.
From jubilation for Chelsea fans at seeing their signing of last season find real form ahead of the 2021/22 season - that quickly turned to despair in the 43rd minute as the goalscorer went down with a shoulder injury.
Christian Pulisic came on for Ziyech, who looked in a lot of pain leaving the field, with manager Thomas Tuchel visibly disappointed in seeing his star player from pre-season pick up what could be a serious injury with the Premier League season now just around the corner.
Here's how the Chelsea fans reacted to the news on Twitter.

Here's how a different selection of Chelsea fans reacted to seeing the 28-year-old in a lot of pain on Wednesday night.
@ShauryaCFC admitted: 'Man this one hurts. Sharpest player so far this season, hopefully it’s something minor - doesn’t look too good tho.
'Recover fast & come back stronger.'
@Nischal_SP put: 'I’m happy with that first half display, but I do feel depleted going into the break after Ziyech’s injury. More of the same in attack, but careful at the back.'
@snowhill_j tweeted: 'Ziyech injured? That is so unfortunate... it would be such a shame if important Chelsea players got injured. That would just be... so bad.. like I hope it doesn’t happen. It would be so so so sad.'
@megan_442 blames one person in particular for this incident occuring: 'Ref cost us Ziyech with not awarding clear foul on Kova. Emery getting away with it on the touchline but Tuchel booked?'
