Yesterday would have been the NFL’s Pro Bowl game if there was one to be played. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic forced the NFL into an audible. But thankfully, we have the Pro Bowls of the past — and more specifically, one highlight in particular — to look back on this morning to help cope for the lack of a live game being played yesterday. The man involved?
The one and only Dan Marino.
Marino had plenty of Pro Bowl experience in his day; he was named to the AFC roster nine times in his brilliant career with the Dolphins between 1983 and his retirement in early 2000. The Pro Bowl always serves as a fun stage for the league’s best to showcase their talent — not necessarily in a competitive game setting, but certainly in a showcase of skills side by side.
Marino made the most of his opportunity in the recently viral highlight; which put to doubt who had the best arm in the league, at least for a day.

50 yards. On a line. Total bullseye. They don’t call Marino the most gifted pocket passer in NFL history for nothing. The trajectory and accuracy of this throw is, simply put, silly.
Hopefully that can quench your thirst for some Pro Bowl action amid the absence of the actual game yesterday, Dolphins fans. And hopefully it won’t be too much longer before we get to see an active Miami Dolphins quarterback repping the team at the annual Pro Bowl showcase. Marino was the last quarterback to get there back in 1995.
