Claude Now Connects With Your Tools
Thanks to the latest interrogations, Claude can now work with popular software like Jira, Confluence, Asana, Zapier, Intercom, Cloudflare, and more. These connections give Claude access to real-time project data, task updates, and organizational knowledge, allowing to act as a more capable assistant during workflows.
For example, the Zapier integration allows Claude to interact with thousands of apps and workflows, allowing users to pull sales data from HubSpot or create meeting briefs based on their calendars. With Atlassian’s Jira and Confluence, users can build and track projects while Claude helps write and summarize tasks and documentation.
Moreover, Intercom users can pair Claude with Intercom’s AI agent Fin to speed up response times to customer feedback. Claude can also help debug issues by accessing past conversations and filing bugs in tools like Linear, all in a single chat.
Developers Can Build Their Own
The new update is built on Anthropic’s Model Context Protocol (MCP) standard. Earlier, it was limited to local servers on Claude Desktop; MCP now works across web and desktop apps using remote servers. Developers can set up and deploy integrations in about 30 minutes using Anthropic’s documentation or services like Cloudflare, which streamlines the process with built-in authentication and transport handling.
Research Gets a Boost
Along with the new integrations, Claude’s research feature has also received an update. It can now break down user requests into smaller pieces and search across hundreds of sources, including the web, Google Workspace, and now any connected integrations. According to the company, it will now provide a more thorough report that takes anywhere from five to 45 minutes to complete, depending on the complexity.
Available Now for Paid Users
The new features are already rolling out for beta users on Claude’s Max, Team, and Enterprise plans, with support for Pro plans coming soon. Besides, the Web Search feature is now available for all paid users globally.
