This Morning viewers slam Eamonn as they brand Love Island's Liberty and Jake interview 'horrible to watch'

This Morning viewers quickly had their say on social media following an interview with Love Island's Liberty Poole and Jake Cornish.

The pair spoke to Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford via video link from Mallorca fresh from their exit from the villa.

Liberty and Jake called time on their relationship just days before the final of the ITV2 dating show, which takes place tonight.

The former Nando's waitress and the water engineer were together from the very first episode back in June and were the first couple to make it 'official' in the famous villa.

But cracks began to show and Liberty aired her concerns that Jake didn't love her.

After their final date, the former couple gathered their fellow Islanders to reveal they would be walking out of the villa together, instead of remaining in until the end.

In their first daytime interview, Liberty and Jake spoke to Eamonn and Ruth on Monday's This Morning about the split and whether there could be a reunion for 'Jiberty'.

The hosts were also joined in the ITV studio by former Love Island star Amy Hart who sympathised with Liberty following her own villa heartbreak.

But viewers were aghast when the interview took a different turn at the end.

Those watching at homes fumed at Eamonn Holmes when he asked the recently split couple to have a 'little cuddle and kiss' for viewers who have watched their journey on-screen.

Liberty and Jake laughed off the comment and refused Eamonn's request.

Fans, however, quickly flooded social media with comments.

"Wow @EamonnHolmes that was embarrassing! Imagine asking them to kiss and cuddle. That was rotten!!" tweeted one.

Another said: "Why did Eamonn have to make them both so uncomfortable? That was horrible to watch #ThisMorning."

"Ehhh that was awkssss! No Eamon, Liberty didn’t want to give Jake a little cuddle or kiss #ThisMorning," a third commented.

A fourth said: "Eamon just gave me the ick!! What the hell was that about?#ThisMorning."

"Eamonn, behave yourself #ThisMorning," another tweeted.
