This Morning viewers left raging at drunk nan and friend who broke into waterpark

This Morning fans were left raging at a drunk nan and her friend who broke into a waterpark.

Claire Vickers, 46, and her friend Barry Douglas, 44, were on the ITV show to share their story of how they were left with broken legs after they went down a slide at a waterpark they broke into.

Claire shattered her ankle and Barry broke both of his ankles and fibular, reports the Mirror.

Nan Claire also had her shin bone poking out of her leg after the pair got drunk and broke into Aldershot Lido in Hampshire.

They decided to go down the slide, but didn't realise that there was a metal barrier placed at the exit.

Speaking to hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, Claire described the incident as being "like something out of a Saw movie".

Barry had been skinny dipping and ended up passing out in the slide after slamming into the barrier.

They were rescued after police called in to investigate reports of "kids" messing around in the pool.

Claire said: "They looked down and saw us all mangled up."

Claire and Barry were rushed to hospital and stitched up after the accident, though Barry explained he had need to make "serious changes" to his life as he is currently in a wheelchair.

While no police action was taken against either Claire or Barry, he suggested that there should have been "better security" at the waterpark.

He also said that it was "too easy to get into" and warned that they may be taking "legal action" against the Lido.

Viewers were not impressed and took to Twitter to comment.

One raged: "You are NOT a getting any pity from anyone!!!"

While another fumed: "'Legal action will be taken' IS HE JOKING #ThisMorning."

A third wrote: "are they really blaming the water park ? LEGAL ACTION FOR WHAT #ThisMorning."

"OF COURSE IT’S SOMEBODY ELSES FAULT IT CANT POSSIBLY BE THEIRS #thismorning," another tweeted.

One seethed: "How dare that waterpark have a barrier at the end of the slide when the park is shut?! Don’t they know criminals might hurt themselves! Get them off the air - absolute morons #ThisMorning."
