This Morning viewers left horrified as Ruth Langsford reveals Eamonn Holmes' bizarre way of cooking bacon

This Morning viewers were left horrified as TV presenter Eamonn Holmes revealed the bizarre way he cooks bacon.

During today's episode, Eamonn's co-host and partner Ruth Langsford sparked a debate on social media after she shared Eamonns' somewhat strange cooking method.

While many Brits tend to cook their bacon in a frying pan, Eamonn opts to cook his in quite an unusual manner - and was left defending his unique way on the show.

It comes as the presenters discussed the best ways to heat bacon rashers after chef James Martin aired a cooking segment on Bank Holiday barbecuing.

"You microwaved bacon the other day!" Ruth cried, with a disgusted look on her face.

"And?" Eamonn replied in protest.

"I came downstairs and thought 'What is this horrible smell?'." Ruth added. "And did you see the fat splattering inside?"

"Ah! But I've worked out how to do that now. You put a tissue over the top it." Eamonn cheekily revealed.

"Do you?" She laughed, before he added: "And it keeps it all down."

"Do you microwave bacon? I've never done that before" Ruth said to the camera to address viewers at home.

"Well, I have!" Eamonn proclaimed. "And It tasted fine!" he insisted.

The camera then panned to James Martin, where the chef was shaking his head in disgust.

Many viewers tuning in from home were left horrified by Eamonn's cooking method, with many admitting to taking Ruth and James' side on Twitter.

One viewer posted: "No no no @EamonnHolmes Bacon in a microwave wave is just wrong WRONG WRONG,"

Another added: "Oh @EamonnHolmes, you could never do anything wrong in my eyes, but bacon in the microwave? Seriously?! @RuthieeL, I feel your pain."

"Bacon in the microwave ugh, very rubbery?" A third asked.

A fourth chimed: "I wouldn’t feel safe eating bacon cooked in a microwave...."

Another insisted: "Microwaving bacon is a sin Eamonn! No, no, no!"

But not all were against the idea, one fan said: "We are with you we microwave bacon! It’s far better and doesn’t stink the house out like frying!"

"I always microwave bacon and eggs...less mess," Another agreed.

A third put: "I do too lol don't do crispy bacon xx glad it's not only me"
