This Morning viewers were left distracted as Steps appeared on the show.

The pop group - made up of Lee Latchford-Evans, Claire Richards, Lisa Scott-Lee, Faye Tozer and Ian 'H' Watkins - were on the ITV programme on Tuesday.

The Tragedy and 5,6,7,8 hitmakers joined Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield to talk about their return once again with their seventh album, What the Future Holds Part 2.

It comes three years after Steps staged one of the most successful comebacks - and marks their second album in 12 months.

"This was supposed to be a bonus album." H explained. "We had so many banging tracks that we decided to put it out as a brand new album.

And it also turns out history is repeating itself as Steps will be battling the Manic Street Preachers for the number one album slot - more than 20 years after they faced the same race to the top in 1998.

Ater their brief chat, the band performed a medley of their biggest hits to give a "taster" of what's to come on their upcoming tour.

Holly and Phil then disappeared off back to the This Morning sofa, getting a front-row seat of the live performance.

But viewers watching at home were distracted.

This is because the camera could occasionally cut to a view behind Phil and Holly - with Phil getting involved with a lot of dancing.

"Phil stop trying to steal the limelight from Steps’s performance #thismorning," one viewer joked.

Another said: "Phil's living his best life on the couch to this #Steps mega mix."

"@Schofe looks so excited to have steps in @thismorning!! #ThisMorning," a third added.

It wasn't just Phil viewers were distracted by either.

"I love Steps! (Yes, really), but WTF is H wearing?! Is it shorts? A skort? Half a kilt??! #ThisMorning," tweeted one.

Another said: "H what are you wearing!!??? #ThisMorning #steps."

"H from #steps didn’t miss a leg day . #ThisMorning,." a third applauded.

A fourth joked: "#ThisMorning Love Steps but H needs to go back to his tailor, his shorts/skirt isn't finished."

H also distracted viewers with his outfit (ITV)

But fans were loving the performance!

One viewer said: "Awww I was just transported back the much happier ‘90’s then! #ThisMorning #Steps."

"I sofa danced, thank you #Steps #Classics #ThisMorning," another tweeted.

A third wrote: "Reliving me youth with the @steps melody #ThisMorning LOVE IT."
