This Morning viewers in tears as 'fantastic' boy with disabilities warms hearts

This Morning viewers were left in tears after a young boy called Oliver Voysey warmed hearts with his positive attitude and great jokes.

The ITV guest, who is now almost 13, was just days old when he suffered a brain injury that left him blind. He also lives with cerebral palsy, epilepsy and learning difficulties.

Oliver is on a mission to save his local activity centre - the Calvert Trust - that was at risk of closure as a result of the pandemic.

While Oliver and his family spoke to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield about raising money for the trust, viewers were completely captivated by Oliver's positive attitude and energy.

During the segment, Oliver proudly showed the This Morning presenters one of the challenges he was trying to achieve to raise money for the trust.

Later, he shared a joke with Holly and Phillip, took a huge bite out of a cake and even revealed that he had a cheeky nickname for the presenters.

Holly and Phillip were left stunned to learn that Oliver had branded them "Bob and Cheryl".

"When he's watching us on the telly he calls us old Bob and Cheryl?" Phillip joked.

Holly then added: "Well, Cheryl loves you, let me tell you that."

As well as warming the hearts of the ITV studio, viewers at home were touched by the joy he brought to the show.

"What a star! Love Oliver. Got a great family around him. Lucky to have visited the Calvert Trust Activity Centre - great facility. Good luck with your campaign Oliver! #ThisMorning #OliversCalvertArmy," penned one follower.

A second added: "Awww what a wonderful little boy. He’s got me in tears here. So sweet and so funny!! All that he has to face on a daily basis and yet he has such a positive attitude and so happy. He amazing. #ThisMorning."

A third wrote: "What a lovely family, Oliver is brilliant and a real inspiration, gives you faith in humanity again #ThisMorning."

Contributions to Oliver's inspiring fundraiser can be made at his GoFundMe page.
