This Morning viewers in tears as boy battling cancer donates presents to kids in need

This Morning viewers were left in tears after an 'incredible' little boy battling cancer donated his Christmas presents to children in hospital.

On today's show, Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby were joined by an inspiring eight-year-old boy called Elliott who began donating his Christmas presents to the local hospital two years ago.

Sadly, Elliott was diagnosed with a brain tumour earlier this year but has vowed to continue raising funds for those in need.

Calling into the studio via a video call, Elliott and his parents Christian and Samantha spoke about their inspiring toy appeal.

The family's Christmas appeal began two years ago when Elliott said that he had 'enough' things and wanted to cheer up children in hospital over the festive period.

Since then, the appeal has snowballed and Elliott has received an overwhelming amount of support in his bid to help other children in need over the festive period.

Sadly, Elliott began to feel unwell during the recent lockdown and in July the doctors diagnosed the youngster with a brain tumour.

His experience in hospital during the Covid-19 pandemic also put a huge strain on his family, who were trying to stay positive.

Elliott had told his parents that the thought of helping others had kept him going.

There were certainly emotional scenes in the studio as Phillip and Holly gifted the youngster a Christmas present of his own for all of his recent efforts.
