This Morning viewers gobsmacked as Holly and Phil admit to Googling 'whale penises'

This Morning fans were stunned on Wednesday as Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby discussed whale penises.

The TV duo were in hysterics as they spoke about a recent news story in which it has been claimed that a picture of the Loch Ness Monster in Scotland may actually be the genitalia of a whale.

"Right, well we're desperate to get to this final story," dad-of-two Phillip began. "A team of fact checkers have been looking at pictures of the Loch Ness Monster and are claiming that the sightings could in fact be a whale penis."

Looking shocked and rather disgusted, Holly quickly said: "I can’t look at that picture!"

Their guest then commented: "Which apparently grow to a size of 1.8 metres long, the average whale penis, so who knows, it could be."

Once again Holly looked stunned, as Phillip continued: "We were talking to our editor, who is Scottish, and saying, 'how does a whale get into Loch Ness in the first place?' and there is apparently river access. But also did it go in there as a baby and grow up in there?"

Holly then interjected: "You’d think you’d see it more wouldn’t you? So do whales swim on their backs? How is that happening? It’s like a snorkel!"

The guest then revealed: "I once knew a man who had a yacht and he had a whale penis sofa made from whale penis skin which is apparently very soft and waterproof.

Taken aback, Phillip replied: "What a shocking thing to have on your yacht though, although I would say that I would have thought most penises were waterproof?"

As the ITV show returned from an ad break, Phillip admitted that he and Holly - along with the rest of the This Morning team - had been Googling whale penises.

Viewers were shocked and also found the segment rather funny and took to Twitter to comment.

"Phillip and Holly always have a whale of a time on #ThisMorning!" one person tweeted, followed by laughing face emojis.

Another viewer added: "A 1.8m whale penis. Ok #ThisMorning has officially lost the plot."

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
