This Morning viewers distracted by self-confessed tanning addict as they spot celebrity lookalike

This Morning viewers were left stunning as they listened to the story of a tanning addict.

But they were distracted as they realised his celebrity lookalike.

Jimmy Featherstone, a self-confessed tanning addict, appeared on the ITV show on Monday to chat to hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary.

He became obsessed with having a golden glow after he picked up his first bottle of tan aged 15.

Jimmy admits to spending more than £1,000 a month on his bronzing routine - which includes daily tanning injections, regular visits to the sunbed - and five layers of fake tan every morning.

Despite concerns from friends and family, Jimmy says it’s "more important to look good" than worry about the risks such as skin cancer.

"It makes me feel good about myself, and I feel better once I have tan on," he said on the programme. "Some people can’t leave the house without makeup on. I can’t leave the house without tan on."

"There is nothing wrong with me. I’m a very happy person and I will always be the same person on the inside, but I can continue to change the outside to make myself feel better."

Jimmy, from Hull, also revealed that he plans to have more surgery, but cancelled a nose job surgery in Germany in order to appear on This Morning.

"I am going to get a nose job, that's now in March. I've had a few fillers around the face," he added.

Alison asked: "So do you like that kind of plastic look, you don't want to be natural?"

"Yeah, I love the plastic look and back in Hull where I am from people have labelled me as the 'Ken Doll'," he replied.

However, viewers of the show were distracted throughout the segment.

And they took to social media to say exactly who Jimmy reminded them of.

"Looks like Rylan," tweeted one.

Another said: "Is it me or does this guy look a little like @Rylan #ThisMorning."

"Watching @thismorning and this is all I can think of….. if @Rylan and @MarkWright_ had a love child," a third added.

Jimmy was joined on the programme by Dr Sara Kayat who had a warning over the tanning injections Jimmy uses.

"Well these injections are illegal are in the UK, it means they are completely unregulated, they have no safety or quality or effectiveness ratings with them so we don't know what their potential side effects could be," she said.
