This Morning viewers crying as woman says she wants to win cash to throw party before she dies

This Morning fans found themselves crying while watching the daytime show today.

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were back to host the show and sent Alison Hammond out and about for another edition of Dosh On Your Doorstep.

The game sees members of the public given the chance to bag £1,000 cash as Alison or another of the This Morning family randomly turn up on their doorstep and ask them four questions each worth £250.

On Tuesday's show Alison appeared on the doorstep of viewer Heather who couldn't believe her eyes as she appeared at her front door.

Stepping out in front of her home, Alison chatted to Heather before telling viewers they'll return a bit later to play the game.

As Holly and Phil returned from the studio to Alison, Heather bravely opened up about her reason for entering the competition.

"I got diagnosed with breast cancer in 2019, I then got the all clear just before my 40th birthday, I thought things were getting back to normal, I then got told I had brain mets, so now I am getting myself organised," she said.

"I have been told I've got three months to live, so I am going to have a 'wake me up before I go, go' party, a party before my passing."

Viewers were then hoping Heather would bag the top prize - which she brilliantly did.

But that wasn't the end as Heather was then surprised with a special birthday message from her favourite singer, Craig David.

After watching his video, Heather was in tears and it was revealed that she was being given a bonus £1,000.

It wasn't Heather's first appearance on This Morning - she had previously proposed to her husband on the popular ITV show.

And viewers were completely overwhelmed by the whole thing.

"Not me crying over heather. I love you hun aw #ThisMorning," tweeted one.

Another said: "Dosh on your doorstep was so emotional this morning. Hoping Heather & her family & friends have the best party! "What an incredibly brave woman she is. Sending her tons of love #thismorning."

"#ThisMorning well that's me in tears what a beautiful soul. Sending lots of love to Heather," a third added.

A fourth commented: "Am crying with joy #thismorning Heather, have a great birthday if you're reading this. Lots of love sent and take care. Xxxxx,."

"What an incredible woman Heather is #ThisMorning," another added.

Alison also asked, on behalf of Heather, that viewers follow her cancer journey on her Instagram page - @heathers_cancer_journey - which Holly and Phil then revealed had shot up by more than 10,000 followers.
