This Morning viewers astounded by gran who gave birth to her daughter's baby

This Morning viewers were left astounded by the story of a gran who gave birth to her daughter's baby.

Emma, 55, acted as a surrogate for her daughter Tracy, 31, who is unable to have kids after being born without a womb.

She found out about her condition at 16 and was devastated that she would never be able to have kids - especially after falling in love and marrying husband Adam.

However, her mum stepped in to help the couple achieve their dream of becoming parents.

Mum and daughter appeared on the show today along with baby Evie, who was born in January via IVF meaning she's Tracy's biological daughter.

After being quizzed on why she went ahead with such a risky pregnancy, Emma declared she would do anything to make her daughter happy.

She said: "I offered. I said if there's anything I can do, I'll do it.

"You'll do anything for your child... No [ I didn't have any problem handing the baby over]... I'd do it again. "

When asked if she felt more like the baby's mum than her gran, Emma added: "I just see myself as Evie's grandmother."
