This Morning viewers amazed at woman whose husband became her wife

This Morning viewers were amazed by a couple who went from being husband and wife to wife and wife when one of them started living as a woman.

Zoe and Kelly appeared on the This Morning sofa alongside Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford for a segment entitled 'my husband became my wife'.

In the interview, Kelly explained how she went into her then-husband Warren's van and found a lipstick hidden in the glovebox.

Worried her husband was having an affair, Kelly confronted Warren - but he denied there was another woman and it turned out the lipstick belonged to him.

After 10 years of marriage, Warren began experimenting with dressing as a woman - and would often do "fancy dress" for Halloween and for the couple's wedding anniversary in December.

But when the fancy dress became an increasing feature of their lives, Kelly sat her husband down and asked if he wanted to live as a woman.

And then on New Years Eve, Warren came out as transgender and has lived as Zoe alongside her beloved wife Kelly ever since.

The couple, who have two children aged 10 and eight, said they are "soul mates" and have stayed strong throughout the major change in their lives.

Speaking on the show , Zoe said: "If anything we are closer than ever before because there are no secrets. We've been chatting non-stop since coming out on New Years Eve."

Kelly admitted to having some doubts at the start of her new life with wife Zoe, saying: "In the first week I thought 'can I do this?' and [Zoe] said 'Shall I get changed?' but I thought no because that's not being true to you."

The couple explained how they told their children about their new life, by asking them how they would feel if their dad dressed like a woman all the time.

Now their children have two mums and Kelly and Zoe are wives, after a decade of marriage.

Viewers praised the couple for sticking together and loving one another through such a major change.

Donna Forde said: "So proud of Zoe for being herself and for her wife sticking with her - you're perfect people."

Pokita said: "I think it’s awesome that she stood by her partner when they changed gender! I hope you both stay strong! You’re amazing!!"
