This Morning vet Dr Scott breaks down in tears after dog of 14 years dies

This Morning vet Scott Miller broke down in tears as he told viewers his dog Betty has passed away.

The emotional vet thanked viewers for their messages.

He was giving an interview on the ITV show with host Rochelle Humes and Alison Hammond when, as it was ending, she said she was sorry to hear his sad news.

The vet replied through tears: ""Aw thanks guys, yeah. I've had a tough couple of days saying good bye to my very special dog."

He went on to say as a vet it is hard to say goodbye.

He said "She has been with me for 14 years and as a very it s hard to say goodbye to your own dog, and she is like one of my kids."

Rochelle told the tearful vet that she wanted to "give him a hug".

Dr Scott had been offering other pet owners advice before opening up about his own struggle before he was asked about Betty.

Earlier this week, Dr Scott posted a picture of Betty and wrote: "I had to say goodbye to my beautiful friend of 14 years this evening, and my heart is broken.

"Betty I love you so much and am so grateful to have had you in my life. Run free my beautiful girl...I will love you forever xxx."
