This Morning sparks Friends anger by 'spoiling' reunion before many fans get to watch it

Angry Friends fans have hit out at This Morning for 'spoiling' the show's reunion before many fans in the UK have a chance to watch it.

The special, which went out on HBO in America on Wednesday night, sees Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Courtney Cox, Matthew Perry, Lisa Kudrow and Matt Le Blanc get back together, 17 years after the hit sitcom's final episode.

While they aren't in character for the reunion, the Friends cast do re-visit the Warner Bros set in the show, hosted by James Corden, and also re-enact some of its famous scenes.

The Friends reunion was made available to watch in the UK just after 8am on Thursday morning on Sky and NowTV, but many fans were either at work at that time or don't have NowTV, so are having to wait until 8pm to watch it on Sky One.

And Friends devotees who hadn't yet had a chance to watch it, were left seriously annoyed at This Morning for discussing the reunion at length at the start of Thursday's show.

As the studio was transformed into Central Perk, hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby were joined by a US correspondent Sam Rubin to talk about what happened in it, spilling plenty of things that many viewers were completely oblivious too, including cast secrets and surprise appearances from former cast members.

One fuming viewer rushed to Twitter to rant: "why spoil the friends reunion when we don’t get it in the uk until tonight?" and another posted: "Really no point of watching the friends reunion," before adding: "they decided to show all the highlights on this Morning, it’s like what is the point of watching it now"

Tagging Phillip Schofield in their tweet, a third exclaimed: "noooooo I’ve had to change channel for the last 10 mins as didn’t want to hear about Friends reunion, no spoilers for me! I initially hid in the kitchen but realised that was such a stupid thing to do!
