This Morning sees Chanel the Parrot owner offer tearful plea to find beloved pet

This Morning aired an emotional plea to find Chanel the African Grey parrot on Monday.

Presenters Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford spoke with Sandra, the owner of social media sensation Chanel the African Grey Parrot who famously went missing last year.

Despite being found and returned to Sandra, the pet owner has been left devastated once again after Chanel went missing.

On Monday’s show, an emotional fraught Sandra recalled: “She was out of her cage but she was upstairs. It had been raining all day and my son just wanted to play out on his bike so I went out to get the bike, shut the door behind me and was waiting for him in the street and he came out straight after me and left the door open and I didn’t check and she just flew out.”

When asked by Ruth if she saw Chanel escape, Sandra revealed: “She went towards the canal again because we live right next to it.”

Eamonn remained optimistic and reminded Sandra that Chanel was found the first time.

However, Sandra noted: “Yes but the last time she was found the next day, but this is the third day now…I just don’t know where she’ll be.”

Ruth then asked Sandra about what people should do if they spot Chanel.

“She’s so tame and she’ll be so scared now and will just try and get anywhere safe,” explained Sandra, “if anyone sees her then take a picture as we’ve been driving around everywhere.

“Just take a picture, shout her name and hold out your arm and she’ll come on you.”

Sandra appealed to viewers to call out for Chanel and take a photo if they see her (ITV)

Sandra noted: “She’s like my fifth child but for three years it’s just been me and her every single morning, I have my coffee before everyone gets up.”

Eamonn noted that they felt her pain and saw it and sent their best wishes to an upset Sandra.

Here is hoping Chanel comes home to Sandra soon.
