Phillip Schofield confessed he was "worried" about sitting beside his This Morning co-host Holly Willoughby, as Tuesday's show began.
It was something she uttered to him seconds before going on air that caught him off-guard, and left him "worried".
He was so distracted by the moment he ended up making quite the blunder with his words, sending the pair into hysterics.
Phil and Holly joked they weren't even meant to be on air, and with the help of the producers they effectively started the show again.
The crew replayed the This Morning theme tune as if to pretend the first minute had not happened, with Phil and Holly then jokingly re-hosting the start of the show.

It all kicked off when after the initial theme tune played, Phillip turned to Holly after something that had happened off-air.
Holly started the show by saying: "Good morning..." only to be interrupted by her co-presenter.
He said: "Slightly worrying sitting by the side of you when you say something like that..."
As Holly burst into laughter, Phillip said: "You've just said, like four seconds ago, that music means I've got to do something."

Holly defended her comment saying: "I know I just suddenly, for a moment there I thought what are we doing right at the top? I can't quite remember.
"But I'm all over it, so it's fine. I was just testing you, I know exactly what is happening."
Phil then made a blunder of his own as he read from the autocue, stumbling on his words and saying: "Here's got we what we got..."

As the pair laughed hysterically, Holly quipped: "We've derailed ourselves at 9:59. It's not even 10, we're not even meant to be on air yet."
Phil added: "It's because we came on early... good morning!" as his co-star echoed: "Good morning!"
He then said correctly: "Right, here's what you've got to look forward to today," as the rest of the opening of the show ran smoothly.
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
