This Morning's Ruth Langsford unable to read autocue after she gets the giggles on air

Ruth Langsford was left fighting the giggles on Wednesday's This Morning, leaving her unable to read the autocue.

The host was left in hysterics over a photo sent in by a viewer during the show, after she noticed something funny about it.

Eamonn Holmes did not understand what his wife was laughing at, as tears began streaming down her face.

He had to take over and read her lines off the autocue too, as she was laughing too much to carry on.

On three occasions she begged him to read it for her, as she was unable to stop laughing in amusing scenes.

Viewers were desperate to know what it was all about, as Ruth said she wasn't allowed to say what was so amusing about the photo.

At first, they didn't even say what the picture was of before the pair confirmed it was sent in by someone watching the show.

The only description offered was that it was an image of host Eamonn, before Ruth suggested there was something on her husband's neck in the image that set her off.

She stopped there and refused to explain what specifically it looked like, suggesting it was too rude for daytime TV.

But every time she thought about it or Eamonn showed her the snap on his phone again, Ruth was back to roaring with the giggles.

Viewers, meanwhile, were desperate to know what was going on, taking to Twitter to ask about the mystery picture.

One fan tweeted: "We want to see the photo too Eamonn. We were giggling with Ruth too."

A second added: "I really need to see this image of Eamonn which is making Ruth cry."

Meanwhile, a third viewer commented: "Ruth lost her cool need to see that neck picture."

A fourth tweeted: "Show us the pic Ruth!"

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
