This Morning's Rochelle Humes 'torn' over Phillip Schofield and Eamonn Holmes spat

Rochelle Humes is said to be "torn" over Phillip Schofield and Eamonn Holmes spat.

The former Saturdays singer, 32, struck up a close friendship with both presenters when she began working on This Morning.

Eamonn recently stepped down from the ITV daytime show after being replaced by Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary on the Friday slot which he used to present with his wife Ruth Langsford.

Following his departure, Eamonn gave a no-holds barred interview in which he branded former colleague Phil as 'passive-aggressive and sly'.

While Phillip has yet to reply to the digs, it's claimed TV personality Rochelle is "caught in the middle" of the feud after becoming close pals with both stars.

"Rochelle's feeling torn and caught in the middle of the war given her close friendship and loyalty to both of them," a source told Closer.

"While she wants Eamonn to know she still supports him, she's also very focused on her presenting career which is thriving thanks to This Morning and that means ensuring she maintains a great relationship with her colleagues, including Phillip."

The insider added: "Rochelle's made a vow to steer clear of any conversations that involve Eamonn and Phillip - she doesn't want to get dragged into the drama, especially given her loyalties to both.

"While she understands and respects Eamonn wanting to have his say and get things off his chest, she's clear that she won't take sides in this war."

It's claimed Rochelle takes her role on the daytime show very seriously and "it isn't something she wants to risk over drama that doesn't involve her".

It's thought the star will remain professional and keep both friendships intact.

In the last week, Eamonn seemed to take another swipe at Phillip as their vicious feud was reignited.

ITV pulled out all the stops to celebrate 59-year-old Phil's 40 years of TV stardom – having first started out his career on a kids TV show in New Zealand before becoming a BBC children’s TV host in 1985.

Not content with marking the event on This Morning – the show that Phil presents – ITV dedicated an episode of Lorraine Kelly's show to the achievement.

The Mirror has contacted Rochelle's representative for a comment.
