This Morning's Rochelle Humes springs blast from the past on unsuspecting guest Anne-Marie

Rochelle Humes sprung a huge surprise on This Morning guest Anne-Marie with a blast from the past that exposed their surprising connection to each other and fellow singer Jessie J.

Ahead of Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby finally returning to the ITV daytime show next week, former Saturdays star Rochelle is on hosting duties this week alongside Vernon Kay, having both teamed up with other presenters over the course of the summer. This week sees the return of two of ITV's primetime talent shows - The Masked Dancer and The Voice UK and two of the coaches from the latter, Sir Tom Jones and Anne-Marie joined Rochelle and Vernon to talk about the new series.

However, after listening to her talking about The Voice, Rochelle blindsided Ciao Adios singer Anne-Marie with a snapshot of their past as child performers. As the two sat close to each other in the studio, a programme cutting featuring the two women and Jessie as youngsters in the cast of musical Whistle Down The Wind flashed up on screen, which Rochelle's mum had dug out for her to use.

Rochelle explained: “Me and Anne-Marie go back a long way and I've actually found a little picture today, it's really old. We used to go to the same little stage school at the weekend."

She continued: "That’s actually me at the top, Anne-Marie and then Jessie J underneath. We were in a show called Whistle Down the Wind when we were little, we were part of the children's ensemble.

Anne Marie relied: “We’ve come a long way," before Rochelle laughed and said: “Still got the same Essex accents! You can take the girl out of Romford but you definitely can't take Romford out of the girl!"
