This Morning's Richard and Judy make a welcome return to hosting duties

Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan made a welcome return to This Morning on Friday, winning praise for their interview with Jeremy Corbyn.

The couple’s return to the ITV programme marked their first time presenting it in 18 years.

Madeley, 63, welcomed viewers by saying: “Do not adjust your sets.

“Hello and welcome to your Friday’s This Morning, I was going to say it’s lovely to be back but it’s actually weird.”

Finnigan, 71, added: “It’s very, very weird. We will be talking to Paul O’Grady in a minute, he said he’s just got new lenses in his specs and that is exactly how this feels here, really strange.”

While the duo found it “strange”, viewers were delighted:

Madeley and Finnigan’s return saw them reunited with a string of familiar faces, including Paul O’Grady and Vanessa Feltz.

Madeley’s new friend Georgina Elliott, who he met while he was a celebrity guest on reality show The Circle, also joined them.
