This Morning's Josie Gibson shares cryptic post following Phillip Schofield's ITV exit

This Morning's Josie Gibson has remained tight lipped about the huge change up on the ITV show following Phillip Schofield's exit after 20 years.

The This Morning favourite hasn't posted well wishes to the 61-year-old presenter after he announced over the weekend that he was stepping back from presenting after 20 years.

Phillip's shock exit comes after rumours have been circulating that things weren't great between him and co-host Holly Willoughby - and haven't been for quite some time.

Whilst some of his This Morning colleagues have paid tribute with Alison and Dermot making a statement on Monday morning's show, others such as Rochelle Humes and Clodagh McKenna have paid tribute to him with social media posts.

However, Josie has remained silent and has only posted a few cryptic posts with quotes.

One quote read: "Remember, being happy doesn't mean you have it all. It simply means you're thankful for all you have."

And another quote read: "I think the most beautiful thing in the world is watching the light come on in someone's eyes, after they have been lost in the dark for so long."

However, last week she paid tribute to another This Morning star who left the ITV show.

As her pal Ella Bates left the programme, Josie penned a thoughtful post which read: "The day we all got caught in the rain at @coronationstreet while filming @thismorning and then the sunshine came out. When I say sunshine I mean @ella.bates beautiful face.

"Ella I am so so sad to see you leave us. You lighten up any room with your magical energy.

"You are Golden my friend and your going places with that special energy of yours. I know you're going to live out your dreams but we are going to miss you so very much."

Shortly after Ella left, Phillip made a brief statement on his Instagram Story.

He wrote: "I have always been proud to cover fascinating stories on This Morning. But recently, This Morning itself has become the story.

"Throughout my career in TV – including the very difficult last few days – I have always done my best to be honourable and kind.

"I understand that ITV has decided the current situation can’t go on and I want to do what I can to protect the show that I love.

"So I have agreed to step down from This Morning with immediate effect, in the hope that the show can move forward to a bright future."

Holly also made a brief statement on Instagram by posting just text - with no pictures of the pair over their 13 years of presenting together.

She wrote: “It’s been over 13 great years presenting This Morning with Phil and I want to take this opportunity to thank him for all of his knowledge, his experience and his humour. The sofa won’t feel the same without him.”
