This Morning's Josie Gibson says she ‘can hardly speak’ when she sees Phillip Schofield

This Morning 's roving reporter Josie Gibson can hardly speak whenever she meets Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.

The 36-year-old has admitted that she couldn’t help but feel starstruck when she met the legendary pair on her first day on the ITV job.

Josie, who shot to fame in 2010 after winning Big Brother, also felt incredibly starstruck when she first met host Dermot O’Leary, admitting that she couldn’t quite believe her luck.

Lifting the lid on her nerves, Josie said that even now, when she sees Phil and Holly, she turns into a ball of anxiety.

“When I see Holly and Phil, I can hardly speak,” she told Daily Star.

"When I met Dermot O'Leary for the first time, I was like, 'Is this really happening?'

"I met Phil Vickery and nearly fell over,” Josie added.

It comes as Josie is fronting a new mini-series for the ITV show called Josie's Extreme Adventure which starts this week.

Since 2019 she has been a regular segment reporter and competition announcer for This Morning.

The bubbly TV personality has kept viewers continuously entertained since she first appeared on the show over two years ago.

Josie somehow always finds herself in some sort of awkward situation, whether she’s been bitten by a pig live on air, or turning up to wrong house to gift a competition winner with their prizes – she never fails to make viewers howl with laughter.

The Bristol native, also made headlines earlier this year when she fell into a lake during a live segment and had to be dragged out by emergency services.

Josie’s personal life appears to be a lot calmer than her day job though.

The former Big Brother winner lives in Bristol with her three-year-old son Reggie, who she shares with ex-partner Terry.

Earlier this summer, Josie admitted that she worked hard to drop three dress sizes in a bid to get fir for her son.

The This Morning presenter told OK! Magazine: “I couldn’t keep up with Reggie – it was embarrassing. I remember running through Bath trying to catch him, so I did it to make me a better mum.

“I can catch him now and I feel healthier, I’ve got more energy. My skin, outlook and brain are better, too. I can do more active things with Reggie now.

“We run round the park, we have bought a stand-up paddleboard and we’ve been going on camping trips. We still have our naughty treats, though.”

Josie has had a rollercoaster relationship with her image in the past, but the star is feeling better than ever now.
